Beaufort MMA Food Drive for Help of Beaufort

Dear Families & Students at Beaufort MMA:

As the head instructor of Beaufort MMA, I feel a great responsibility to help develop a strong sense of character in each of my students. This is done through reinforcing what you, the students’ parents and families, have already instilled in each and every student. As we are near the Thanksgiving / Christmas holidays, I feel a strong desire to help our students learn that it is both good to be thankful for what you have to learn to understand that others are not quite so fortunate. For that reason, Beaufort MMA will be hosting a food collection drive through the following several weeks leading up to Christmas break.

We are asking for each child to collect whatever non-perishable food they can during the next few weeks. We will even have a table available for drop-off in the parking lot during the Family Fun Day event in the Beaufort Town Center this weekend (November 17th). All of the collected food will go to Help of Beaufort to be given away to families and individuals that are facing very tough times.

I understand that not everyone can afford to buy food for others when the economy makes it tough to buy food for your family alone, so I am not requiring any student to bring goods. However, I will set up a reward program for the children who work hard to bring in the most goods for this food drive.

Please let your friends and families know about this food drive so they can help your child bring in as much as possible. In order to make sure that each child has the proper credit, you should write their initials or first name and last initial on the can, box, or container that you are donating. Please do not include your last name as this food will be handed out to at risk families and individuals as-is.

If you have any questions, please contact me. Thank you very much for any assistance you can provide.

Sincerely,

Abe Stem
Head Instructor
Beaufort MMA
