Description
This 6 week course begins on March 16th and will continue each Monday through March and April. It concludes on April 27th. The class will include various self-defense techniques and discussions and will teach the girls and women how to be more aware of their surroundings, how to properly strike if necessary, and how to defend themselves if a person grabs onto them.
The ages will be 13 and up and the class is geared to female students. The subject matter will be adjusted to the age level of the girls that are present, but we recommend that parents listen in and provide additional feedback from home if necessary.
In addition to learning a skill that could save their life, girls and women who enroll in the program can look forward to a great workout each class. Mixed Martial Arts includes techniques from Boxing, Kickboxing, Wrestling, and Jiu-Jitsu so you will get a whole body workout while learning valuable techniques and meeting new friends.
Attendees should wear comfortable workout attire like leggings or shorts with a t-shirt or dryfit top. They will not need any specialized equipment to begin the class.
