Muay Thai Demonstration / Open House

Beaufort MMA is excited to introduce our newest instructor, Kru Ronald Sithailing Martinez to our team. Kru Ronald Sithailing Martinez is a professional muay thai instructor and trainer with experience teaching the “art of eight limbs” to students of all skill levels. Kru Ronald is a lifelong devotee of muay thai; he began his training as a young teen and went on to work with some of the most respected names in the sport. He credits his style chiefly to his time spent training at the world-famous Fairtex under Bunkerd Faphimai. In his teens and twenties, Kru Ronald fought on the international stage and on the West Coast, ultimately retiring with a 29-9 record.

One March 28th, Kru Ronald will be hosting a special open house at Beaufort MMA where members from the community can visit the gym and practice authentic Thai Boxing techniques and see a presentation of the history and traditions surrounding it. By learning about Muay Thai traditions such as the “wai khru” (the pre-fight ceremonial dance) and getting to try on Muay Thai mongkols and prajiets (woven headbands and armbands traditionally worn by Muay Thai fighters), adults, teens, and children will have the opportunity to develop an awareness and appreciation of another culture, all while getting a workout.

The new classes will begin in April and anyone who attends will be eligible for a special discounted rate.
